Shawn Yeager
Founder
Three decades making technology sell — browsers at Microsoft, infrastructure at Accenture, Bitcoin payments at NYDIG, IoT hardware at a startup I ran as CEO. Different technologies, different markets, same job: figure out what it's worth and close the deal. $300M in revenue and over 100 companies advised.
When you've sold software, bought it, built companies on it, and advised that many more, you notice something: what a company pays for its tools and what those tools actually cost are never the same number. The subscription is the line item. The real cost is the labor — triaging tickets, manual data entry, errors from processes nobody tracks.
When AI started replacing entire SaaS categories, that gap became an opportunity. But nobody had a tool that could take a company's actual expense data and show them the real number — with sourced benchmarks, not made-up projections. So I built one.
What StackCut is
A calculator, not a marketplace
Vendor-neutral
We don't sell, resell, or take commissions on any AI tool. We show you the math — you choose your vendor.
Privacy-first
Every calculation runs in your browser. Your expense data is never sent to a server, stored in a database, or shared with anyone.
Transparent methodology
Every default value is sourced from published benchmarks — BLS, Gartner, Intercom, Ardent Partners, and others. Every assumption is adjustable.
Honest results
Savings can be negative. We show that honestly. Not every SaaS tool should be replaced with AI — the math will tell you.
