What we collect

Previewing your savings report is free and asks for nothing. To unlock the full report you pay a one-time fee, and we collect the email address you use at checkout so we can give you access. We keep a record of that purchase. StackCut is operated by Upshift LLC, which is the controller of that data.

That's the complete list. We do not collect any other personal information.

What we don't collect

Your QuickBooks export and expense data never leave your browser. Every calculation runs client-side in JavaScript, so no financial data is sent to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with anyone.

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and there are no retargeting pixels on this site. We set one functional cookie to remember that you have unlocked your report.

How we use your data

• Give you access to the report you purchased
• Notify you about product updates and new features (you can opt out at any time)
• Respond to questions or feedback you send us

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use a small number of services to operate StackCut. Each was chosen for its approach to privacy and security:

• Plausible Analytics. Privacy-first web analytics. No cookies, no personal data collected, EU-hosted. Compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring a consent banner.
• Crisp. Live chat widget for support conversations.
• Resend. Transactional email delivery, including your report-access link.
• Stripe. Payment processing for the one-time report purchase. Your card details go to Stripe directly; we never see or store them.
• Neon. PostgreSQL database hosting where we store your access email and a record of your purchase.
• Vercel. Hosting and deployment platform for the StackCut web application.

Data storage and security

The information you provide is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database, encrypted at rest. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

To be clear: no financial or expense data is ever stored. The only data we retain is the email you use at checkout and a record of your purchase.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time. You can opt out of product update emails at any time. For either request, contact us at hello@stackcut.net.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and revise the “last updated” date above.
