What we collect
When you submit the email gate form to unlock a savings report, we collect your name, email address, and company name. If you used an invite code to access the beta, we store that as well.
That's the complete list. We do not collect any other personal information.
What we don't collect
Your QuickBooks export and expense data never leave your browser. Every calculation runs client-side in JavaScript — no financial data is sent to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with anyone.
We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. There are no retargeting pixels on this site.
How we use your data
- Send you the savings report you requested
- Notify you about product updates and new features (you can opt out at any time)
- Respond to questions or feedback you send us
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
We use a small number of services to operate StackCut. Each was chosen for its approach to privacy and security:
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-first web analytics. No cookies, no personal data collected, EU-hosted. Compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring a consent banner.
- Crisp — live chat widget for support conversations.
- Resend — transactional email delivery for sending your savings report.
- Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting where we store account information (name, email, company, invite code).
- Vercel — hosting and deployment platform for the StackCut web application.
Data storage and security
The information you provide is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database, encrypted at rest. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
To be clear: no financial or expense data is ever stored. The only data we retain is what you explicitly provide in the email gate form.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your data at any time. You can opt out of product update emails at any time. For either request, contact us at hello@stackcut.net.
